Prosper Sustainably is offering a free webinar on “Understanding and Developing an EPA-Tribal Environmental Plan (ETEP)” webinar from 10:00am – 11:30am (PST) on Thursday May 7, 2015. You can register for this webinar at: http://www.anymeeting.com/PIID=EB58DD85824D3B
RESOURCES FROM THIS COMPLETED WEBINAR (video, presentation, templates) HAVE BEEN POSTED AND CAN BE VIEWED/DOWNLOADED FROM THE TRIBAL RESOURCES PAGE.
An ETEP can help a tribe achieve its environmental and sustainability goals in the most effective, enduring manner possible. An ETEP can be a strategic work plan that keeps your programs on track and maximizes the use of available resources. An ETEP can be the most important and powerful tool that a tribal environmental program develops and implements.
In this webinar, Josh Simmons, the Principal Consultant of Prosper Sustainably will provide insight on what an ETEP is, where it came from, what its purpose is, and what it is supposed to include. Josh will explain how the ETEP can be used to easily produce GAP work plans on an ongoing basis and how it can be used to guide all other environmental programs and initiatives. He will share an approach for preparing a living ETEP that Prosper Sustainably has developed in working with tribes. Josh will also describe how an ETEP can fit seamlessly into a broader strategic planning effort.
Prosper Sustainably offers a variety of services to help tribes and other organizations fulfill their unique environmental and sustainability potential including grant writing, code drafting, and feasibility studies (see http://www.prospersustainably.com/services/ for more). However, ETEP development and strategic planning are Josh’s absolute favorite. He really enjoys the process of crafting these plans and seeing how they can empower their stewards. Regardless of whether you work directly with Prosper Sustainably, we hope this webinar and the resources it provides will help you advance your highest goals.
